What is the NEPA Conservation Alliance?

Lackawanna Heritage Valley (LHV) sponsors the Northeastern Pennsylvania Conservation Alliance, comprised of representatives from regional environmental organizations and individuals with common goals and interests.
Mission Statement
To facilitate communication and share resources through networking to coordinate and advance conservation efforts in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Goals of the NEPA Conservation Alliance

The NEPA Conservation Alliance has identified four goals that it will pursue through a variety of projects, programs, and events.

  1. Improve Stewardship and Management of Parks, Forests, and Greenspace
  2. Promote Land and Watershed Conservation
  3. Build and Maintain Sustainable and Attractive Communities
  4. Build Outdoor Connections for Citizens and Visitors

2016 Meeting Schedule

The NEPA Conservation Alliance meets at the Lackawanna Heritage Valley’s offices at 213 South 7th Avenue in Scranton on the third Wednesday of September, December, March, and July. Meetings run from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
