Invitation to Bid: Appurtenances and Planting Plan Installation / Construction

Sealed proposals will be received by the Lackawanna Heritage Valley at their office with a mailing address of 213 Railroad Avenue, Scranton, Pennsylvania, 18505, until 2:00 pm on ___February 12, 2019____.  Bids will be opened on __February 12, 2019___, at the offices of Lackawanna Heritage Valley, at 2:30 pm.

Appurtenances and Planting Plan Installation / Construction

Work shall consist of the following:

The Lackawanna River Heritage Trail – Fell Township Section Appurtenances and Planting Plan project entails enhancement of the newly built 2.2 miles of trail between Morse Avenue in Simpson to the D&H trail near Vandling Borough. The enhancements to the existing trail include but are not limited to the following work to be conducted in accordance with State approved construction plans and specifications: selective tree removal, planting plan implementation,  installation of signage including custom LHV signage, and implementation of  bike racks, picnic tables, benches and trash receptacles.

Contract and construction bid documents may be obtained from the office of the Lackawanna Heritage Valley, 213 Railroad Avenue, Scranton, Pennsylvania, 18505, upon receipt of a check which is non-refundable in the amount of $100.00 per set (or $10.00 per digital copy CD), excluding any shipping costs. All contract and construction bid documents are also available digitally (on CD) for a cost of $10.00, excluding any shipping costs.  Checks shall be made payable to Lackawanna Heritage Valley.

Bids must be submitted upon the forms furnished by the Landscape Architect.

The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON ___Tuesday, January 29th_____, at 10:00am, AT THE OFFICES of the LACKAWANNA HERITAGE VALLEY

With a “rain date” of Thursday, January 31st at the same time and location.
