#LoveYourPark Volunteer Day

The Nay Aug Avenue Natural Play Area in Scranton has been voted Best Local Park by Access NEPA and, to celebrate, we are sprucing up the park! Help us celebrate this achievement by joining us for a Love Your Park Volunteer Day at the Nay Aug Avenue Natural Play Area along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail on Saturday, September 17, from 2pm to 5pm!

The Nay Aug Avenue Natural Play Area, located at 1738 Nay Aug Avenue in Scranton, was built with natural features and is aquatic-themed. The park features a community pavilion, a tyke-bike track, slides built into the sides of dirt mounds, tire swings, a climbing snake, a fishing shack and fish climbers. Because the park is wood-based and well-loved, revitalization is necessary, but we could use your help.
No special skills are needed to help keep the natural play area clean and green and all necessary equipment and supplies will be provided. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to attend and participate and will be provided with water and snacks. The organization encourages families and groups to join in the spring clean-up together.
**Please note that the park is located at 1738 Nay Aug Avenue in Scranton, off of Green Ridge Street, and is not within the City of Scranton’s Nay Aug Park.**
